Our vision of a transformative health system
The Rural Health Initiative of South Africa (RHISA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to leading the future of healthcare by empowering young people, and providing them with the tools, knowledge, and networks to become the next generation of health leaders.
We commit to advocating for policies and systems that enhance health equity and access, particularly in rural and underserved communities. RHISA is dedicated to research that addresses current and emerging challenges in health sciences, with a focus on communicating evidence-based and innovative solutions to stakeholders through strategic geopolitical engagement.

We conduct and translate rigorous research into actionable strategies. We design and implement programs that breakdown barriers to care. We invest in the youth through leadership development, education, and mentorship programs. We partner with communities, nonprofits, businesses, policymakers and other stakeholders to turn ideas into measurable impact. From preventative care to health education, our grassroots programs are built with and for the community. We believe collaboration is key to scale and sustainability.
